Intake & Exhaust Manifold Removal

  1. Remove air cleaner and carburetor(s). Remove either PCV valve or breather pipe. Remove vacuum pipe servo. Take off both heat shields and their gaskets. Remove nuts mounting intake manifold and remove manifold.
  2. Following procedure is applicable if both intake and exhaust manifolds are to be removed: Disconnect and remove tail pipe assembly. Disconnect transmission casing from center exhaust pipe and slide clamp off. Unscrew remaining exhaust manifold nuts. Remove center section of exhaust pipe out from bottom and remove intake and exhaust manifolds out the top. To install, reverse removal procedure.
