Parking Lock Solenoid N486/Drive Position Sensor G676, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles with 4-cylinder TFSI and particulate filter:
-- Remove the particulate filter. Refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Remove the Mechatronic. Refer to Mechatronic, Removing and Installing .
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and the oil pipe -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and push the coolant pipe for the transmission to the side. (different versions)
-- Depending on the version, remove to ensure access to the coolant pipe.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and move the parking lock emergency release cable -1- to the side. (different versions)
-- Press the tensioning pin -1- out using the Removal Tool :T40437 -A-.
Conditions
- Depending on the transmission, the parking lock lever may be installed in various positions. See the illustrations above and below.
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
-- Disconnect the connector -3-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the parking lock cover -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- At the same time using a pin punch shaft turn the parking lock approximately 3° against the spring force -arrow-.
-- Remove the Parking Lock Solenoid -N486-.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and the Drive Position Sensor -G676-.
