Risk of accident due to vehicle rolling

When performing work on the vehicle, it should generally be secured to prevent rolling.

• Automatic transmission/dual clutch transmission: select the "P" selector lever position.
• Manual transmission: select 1st gear.
• Engage the parking brake.

There is a risk of injury with the radiator fan

Bodyparts can be pinched or pulled by self-actuating radiator fans.

• Maintain distance to the radiator fan when working near the radiator.
• Do not reach into the radiator fan when disconnecting the connector.

There is a risk of injury due to UV radiation and glare.

Eye and skin health may be damaged from the headlamp turning on.

• Do not look into the light beam.
• Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers.
• Place the vehicle key and other start authorization systems (such as smartphones) outside of the vehicle.
• Do not operate the flashers.
• Only disassemble the LED headlamps according to the repair information.

There is a risk of suffocation from refrigerant R744.

During procedures in which the 12V battery is disconnected, the vehicle interior carbon dioxide concentration sensor will not function.

• Only perform work in the vehicle interior with the doors opened.
