Storage guidelines:

Passenger protection components:

• Do not allow airbag units to come into contact with grease, solvent or cleaning solutions.
• Do not expose gas generator to any temperatures above 100 °C (212 °F).
• Driver and front passenger airbag units are to be stored in the removed state so that the outlet opening of the airbag faces upward.
• Place the removed head curtain airbag units in the transport container or on a clean flat surface with a soft surface. Fold carefully and prevent damage.
• Protect the pressure sensors from moisture during storage.

Transport guidelines:

Components carrying fluid:

• Components carrying fluid are to be drained before transport. If draining is not technically possible, package these components properly.
• If a defect is preventing draining, contact the importer.
• The connection openings of the components carrying fluid are to be sealed immediately after removal or the residual draining. If equipped, the new part seals are to be used.
