Parking Lock, Removing And Installing: Removing

Pre-work

-- Remove the gear set. Refer to GEAR SET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Slide off the output gear of the spur gear unit from the pinion. Refer to OUTPUT GEAR OF THE SPUR GEAR UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Detach the parking lock gear. Refer to OUTPUT GEAR OF THE SPUR GEAR UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Remove the parking lock

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- In the sleeve -1- of the parking lock -2- cut through the M10 threads.

-- Install the Slide Hammer Set :VW771  -1- in the threads of the sleeve -3-.

-- Drive out both sleeves -3- together with the parking lock -2-.

Shaft for the parking lock, removing

-- Remove the drive position sensor. Refer to PARKING LOCK SOLENOID N486/DRIVE POSITION SENSOR G676, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disengage and release the tension of the spring -2- in the -direction of the arrow- from the shaft for the parking lock -1-.

-- Disengage the rest linkage -3- on the shaft for the parking lock -1-.

-- Drive out the shaft for the parking lock -1- and sleeve -2- in the -direction of the arrow A- out of the clutch housing.

-- Then pivot out the shaft for the parking lock -1- in the -direction of the arrow B- from the clutch housing.
