Hydraulic Pressure Reservoir, Disposing: Procedure

- The installed hydraulic pressure reservoir is around a closed hollow body; that is impinged on by the prefilled working gas (nitrogen) with an inner pressure
- Because it is prohibited to scrap a closed hollow body, the hydraulic pressure reservoir must be drained before disposal.
-- Remove the hydraulic pressure reservoir. Refer to GEAR ACTUATOR MODULE AND HYDRAULIC PRESSURE RESERVOIR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
CAUTION:
System is pressurized.
When the drill bit passes through in the gas space, the shavings can be flung around.
- Wear protective eyewear and hearing protection.
-- Tension the hydraulic pressure reservoir in the vise.
-- Starting from the square deck area, use a drill bit to drill through the pressure reservoir with dimension -x- approximately 25 mm all the way.
-- The pressureless hydraulic pressure reservoir can then be scrapped.
