Coolant Ventilation Line To Cylinder Head, Removing And Installing: Removing

The engine is cold.

-- To reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system, briefly open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the retainer -arrow-.

-- Remove the upper air duct pipe.

Refer to AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, WITH RADIATOR INSTALLED 2.9L ENGINE

Refer to UPPER AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 3.0L ENGINE

-- To catch refrigerant, place a cloth under the connections from the coolant ventilation line.

-- Lift the clamp -2- and disconnect the coolant ventilation line.

NOTE:

Depending on the version, the separating point -2- can be installed at a different location than shown (for example on the opposite side).

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the coolant ventilation line -1- from the left and right cylinder head and close the openings immediately with a plug from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122 .
