Air Duct Pipe, Removing And Installing, With Radiator Installed 2.9L Engine: Removing

-- Pay attention to the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the ribbed belt from the A/C compressor. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Move the tensioner for the A/C compressor to the side. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the oil filter element. Refer to Maintenance Work; Engine Oil; Oil Filter, Replacing, and cover the opening with a clean cloth.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -2- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Move the air duct pipe -1- to the side.

-- Remove the cover.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and the idler roller.

-- Free up the coolant line -2-.

Vehicles with version 1 charge air system:

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 3- and remove the air duct hose.

Vehicles with version 2 charge air system:

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows- and remove the air duct pipe -1-.

-- Press the release buttons on both sides and remove the EVAP system hose -arrow-.

-- Free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the Long Reach Special Wrench : T40398 if necessary.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -1- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness -2-.

-- Remove the vacuum hose -6- and hose -3- for the crankcase ventilation to do so press the release buttons on both sides.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the Long Reach Special Wrench : T40398 if necessary.

-- Carefully pivot the air duct pipe -1- to the left side.

-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -2- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the Insert Tool :T10572 if necessary.

-- Remove the lower ventilation pipe. -1-.

-- Remove the upper ventilation pipe.
