Rear Thorax Airbag With Igniter, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to Bench Seat/Single Seat, Removing and Installing .
-- Fold the rear seat backrest forward.
-- Remove the rear sill panel. Refer to Rear Sill Panel, Removing and Installing .
CAUTION:
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
Risk of injury.
- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.
-- Release the connector lock with a flat-head screwdriver.
-- Disconnect the connector on the thorax airbag igniter and free up the wire.
-- Remove the nuts -4-.
-- Remove the metal plate -3-.
-- Remove the rear thorax airbag -1- from the mount.
