Front Thorax Airbag, Outer Side, Removing And Installing: Removing

The thorax airbag with Driver Thorax Airbag Igniter -N199- or Front Passenger Thorax Airbag Igniter -N200- will be called the thorax airbag in the information that follows.

The following information describes the removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle as an example.

-- Switch off the ignition and electrical equipment.

-- Place the vehicle key and other start authorization systems (such as smartphones) outside of the vehicle interior.

-- Remove the cushion from the backrest in the area of the thorax airbag. Refer to COVER, SEPARATING FROM BACKREST CUSHION .

-- Release the connector lock -3- in the -direction of the arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Release the thorax airbag -4- at the hook -5- and remove it.
