Coolant Pipe, Removing And Installing, Right Side Of The Motor: Installing
Risk of injury due to chemical cleaning solutions. Chemical cleaning solutions can be extremely flammable and cause eye and skin irritation.
- Wear protective eyewear, safety gloves and respirators.
- Pay attention to the safety data sheet and operating instructions of the chemical.
-- Seal the coolant pipe hole using a plug.
-- Remove the coolant pipe sealant with commercially available, chemical sealant remover and Scraper :VAS 294 027 .
-- Remove the sealant residue using the Brass Wire Brush :VAS 294 025 .
-- Remove the plug from the coolant pipe hole.
-- Apply the sealant -arrow- to the clean contact surface of the coolant pipe, as shown.
Allocation for sealant, refer to the Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).
Condition
- Only apply thin layer on contact surface
- Do not apply sealant to the bevel or the hole
- Within 5 minutes of applying the sealant, install the coolant pipe
-- Insert the coolant pipe -2- with O-ring.
-- Tighten the bolt -1-.
