Rear Seat Backrest Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the rear seat backrest and place it on a clean surface. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rear headrest. Refer to HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the inner mounting pin. Refer to INNER MOUNTING PIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the locking mechanism trim. Refer to .
-- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the clamping strips -1- and -2- for the cover out of the locking mechanism -3-.
Tip
Do not loosen the bolts -4-.
-- 2/3 rear seat backrest: remove the rear seat belt guide in the center. Refer to REAR SEAT BELT GUIDE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles with pass-through door
-- Remove the pass-through door. Refer to PASS-THROUGH DOOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Use the Trim Removal Wedge :3409 to unclip the cover clips -arrows- from the backrest frame near the inner mounting pin.
-- Remove the outer bearing sleeve. Refer to OUTER BEARING SLEEVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Starting at the locking mechanism, pry off the clamping strip -2- for the cover from the backrest frame using a flat-head screwdriver -3- -arrow-.
-- Move the cover and cushion -1- as far upward as possible until the headrest tube is visible with the headrest guide.
-- Push the tabs for the headrest guide -2- inward -arrows- using pliers, and at the same time, remove the headrest guide from the backrest frame -3-.
-- Remove the backrest cover -1- and backrest cushion from the backrest frame.
