- Excluding North America market-specific versions with Front Passenger Seat Heating Element with Seat Occupant Detection System Control Module -ZX14- : the old heating elements remain on the cushion and will be covered over by the new heating elements.
- North America market-specific versions with passenger occupant detection system (front passenger seat): it is not permitted to interchange the components. The heating element with passenger occupant detection system along with the seat cushion are always to be replaced.

-- Disconnect the seat pan cover and cushion. Refer to COVER, SEPARATING FROM SEAT PAN CUSHION .
-- Clip the wires directly at the heating elements.
-- Align the new heating elements -arrow- on the cushion.
-- Remove the protective films from the heating elements in succession, taking care not to damage the heating elements.
-- Glue the heating elements so that they align with the old heating elements and are free of wrinkles.
-- Route the connecting wires to the individual heating elements in the base of the gaps.
