Driver Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motor V28, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Move the front seat to the highest position possible to keep the torsion bar tension as low as possible.
-- Mount the front seat onto the fixture for seat repair. Refer to Front Seat, Mounting on Fixture for Seat Repair .
-- Remove the front and rear seat rail cover. Refer to FRONT AND REAR SEAT RAIL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the seat rail cover on the side sill side. Refer to OUTER SEAT RAIL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolt -2-, unclip the Driver Seat Position Sensor -G553- -1- from the seat pan lower frame -3- -arrow- and disengage.
-- Remove the front seat belt latch and move it to the side with the wire still connected. Refer to FRONT SEAT BELT LATCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Unclip the rear bracket -2- for the wiring harness on the seat pan with a screwdriver.
-- Release and disconnect the connector -1- from the seat forward/back adjustment motor.
-- Free up the wiring harness -arrow-.
-- Support the seat pan upper frame with the backrest. so that it does not fall and become damaged when disconnecting it from the lower frame.
-- Remove the left and right bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the seat pan upper frame -2- with the backrest from the lower frame -1- and place it on a clean surface.
Risk of damage to the bushings in the bearing points of the threaded connection between the seat pan and lower frame.
- The bushings cannot be replaced using service equipment and thus need to be replaced with respective components when damaged.
-- Check the bushings -1- for damage.
