Engine/Motor Control Module J623, Removing And Installing: Removing

If the control module is replaced, perform the test plan for replacing the control module.

-- Perform the "Control Module, Replacing" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .

-- Turn off the ignition. Place the vehicle key and other start authorization systems (such as smartphones) outside of the vehicle interior.

-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
