Lower CROSSMEMBER, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Refer to the appropriate Service Information .

-- Remove the rear reinforcement. Refer to OVERVIEW - SUBFRAME .

-- Remove the left and right bolts -arrows- and remove the clamp -3-.

-- Lower the stabilizer bar and at the same time remove the stabilizer bar lower section.

-- Remove the left and right bolts -arrows- for the rear motor mount -1-.

-- Remove the rear motor support. Refer to MOTOR SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the steering intermediate shaft from the steering gear and push together. Refer to STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.

-- Free up the Thermal Management Change-Over and Mixing Valve 4 -V653- on the bracket.

-- Remove left and right bolt -1- for the lower crossmember -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -6- and free up the wiring harness -2-.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1- and -3- and remove the coolant hoses.

-- Free up the coolant lines -4-.

-- Remove the coolant collection pipe -5- to the right side and pivot it upward and secure.

-- Lift the clamp -2-, open the hose clamp -1-, and remove the coolant hose.

-- Disconnect the connectors -3- and -6- and free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolt -4-.

-- Remove the bolt -5- and remove the refrigerant line.

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the refrigerant lines -2-, -3- and -4-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the right rear motor support -1-.

-- Free up the wire and if necessary push to the side.

-- Remove the nut -5-.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and then remove the bracket -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -4- on the left and right.

-- Lower the motor with the spindle slightly and move the lower crossmember -1- slightly froward.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the bracket -1- and -2-.

-- Carefully remove the lower crossmember.
