Camshaft Timing Chain, Removing From Camshafts: Removing

Vehicles without Particulate Filter:

-- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with a Particulate Filter: 

-- Remove the particulate filter. Refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Cylinder Bank 1 (Right):

-- Loosen the hose clamp -1- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -4- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Free up the wiring harness -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and push the connection -2- to the left side.

Cylinder Bank 2 (Left):

-- Free up the coolant line -2- and wiring harness -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the bracket -1- for the engine cover.
