Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Procedure 

• The engine is cold.

-- Remove the right cover -1- toward the rear in direction of -arrows- and remove.

-- To reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system, briefly open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the retainer -arrow-.

-- Reinstall the cap until it engages.

-- Remove the right front wheel spoiler. Refer to ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR ON RADIATOR OUTLET -G83-, EMOVING AND INSTALLING .

2.9L Engine:

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.

3.0L Engine:

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.

All:

• Replace the O-rings after removing them.

-- Insert the new engine coolant temperature sensor immediately so that as little coolant is lost as possible.

-- Check the coolant level. Refer to Figure.

Tightening Specifications

• Refer to OVERVIEW - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
• Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .
