Tunnel CROSSMEMBER, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- 4-cylinder vehicles TDI engine: remove the center front underbody trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .
-- Vehicles with 6-cylinder TFSI engine: remove the left front muffler. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and nut -2-.
-- Remove the crossbrace end panel -1-.
-- Mount the :T10337 on the :VAS6931 and attach it under the transmission.
-- Raise the transmission slightly.
WARNING:
There is the risk of an accident.
- The :VAS6931 may only be used during assembly and must not sit unsupervised under the vehicle.
-- If installed, remove the connectors -2 and 3- from the bracket and free up the wires.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the nuts -1- and remove the tunnel crossmember.
