Lower Steering Column Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Move the steering wheel as far to the rear and down as possible. Use the full steering column adjustment range for this.
-- Turn the steering wheel counter-clockwise 90° from the straight position.
-- Unclip the upper steering column trim panel -1- from the lower steering column trim panel -arrow-.
-- Push the hook for the steering column upper trim panel toward the front through the opening using the Locking Pin (3 pc.):T40011 and remove the locking pin again immediately.
-- Turn the steering wheel back 180° and repeat the procedure on the opposite side.
-- Disengage the upper steering column trim panel on the lower steering column trim panel -1- and move upward to the side.
-- Remove the accessible bolt -arrow A- for the lower steering column trim panel -1-.
-- Turn the steering wheel back 180° and remove bolt on the opposite side.
-- Bring the steering wheel back into the center (wheels are straight).
-- Remove the bolt -arrow B- and remove the lower steering column trim panel -1-.
-- Disengage the cable holder on the steering column trim panel.
-- Disconnect the connectors, if equipped.
