Front Passenger Airbag Unit With Igniter, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to Glove Compartment, Removing and Installing .
-- Remove the mount for the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and let it hang on the connected wires. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM .
CAUTION:
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
Risk of injury.
- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.
-- Release the connector lock -1- -arrow-.
-- Disconnect the connectors -2- through -4- from the Front Passenger Airbag Release Valve Igniter -N491- and Front Passenger Airbag Igniter 1 -N131- and if equipped, from the Front Passenger Airbag Igniter 2 -N132-.
Conditions
- Secure the airbag from falling.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and -3-.
-- Remove the airbag -2- downward.
Conditions
- Keep the cushion facing upward when setting the airbag down.
