Trailer Hitch Release Button E754, Removing And Installing

-- Pull off the left luggage compartment side trim panel so far that the trim -1- is accessible. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITHOUT HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM , or LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .

-- Release the clip -3-.

-- Push out the trim -1- with Trailer Hitch Release Button -E754- from the luggage compartment side trim panel -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Release the hooks -arrows- carefully with a small screwdriver.

-- Remove the switch -1- toward the rear from the trim -2-.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Press in the trim with the switch until the hooks engage in the mount.
