Alcohol Interlock System, Removal

Removing

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Select "flash".

-- Select "Enter SVM code".

-- Perform the software update with SVM code -46A610-.

-- Switch off the ignition.

A4/A5

-- Remove the 20 A fuse in Fuse Panel 3 - ST3- from location 5 in the left side of the luggage compartment.

Continuation for all vehicles

A6/A7

-- Remove the Fuse 15 (On Fuse Panel M) -SM15- from the left front side of the luggage compartment.

Continuation for all vehicles

-- Remove fuse 20 A from Fuse Panel J -SJ- in location SJ12 in the luggage compartment on the left side.

Continuation for all vehicles

Q8 e-tron

-- Remove fuse 20 A to the Fuse Panel C -SC- at location SC3 in the front passenger footwell.

Continuation for all vehicles

e-tron GT

-- Remove a 20 A fuse in Relay and Fuse Panel 4 -SR4- in location SK5 in the luggage compartment on the right side.

Continuation for all vehicles

Q4 e-tron

-- Detach the fuse 20 A in the left front footwell in the Fuse Panel C -SC- from the additional fuse panel.

Continuation for all vehicles

-- Remove the 20 A fuse in Fuse Panel 3 - ST3- from location 6 in the left side of the luggage compartment.

Continuation for all vehicles

Q7/Q8

-- Remove a 20 A fuse in Fuse Panel J -SJ- from location SJ9 in the luggage compartment on the left side.

Continuation for all vehicles

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the alcohol interlock system control module and handheld from the glove compartment.

-- Remove the wires from the glove compartment, secure them to the bulkhead and insulate them.

-- Remove the grommet, close holes in the glove compartment with fitting plugs.

-- Install the glove compartment.
