Rear Lid, Removing And Installing, A6 Sedan: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear lid tail lamp. Refer to REAR LID TAIL LAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A6 .

-- Push the grommet toward the inside.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Disengage the support bracket -1- by releasing the retainers in direction of -arrows-.

-- Release the release cable nipple -4- from the operating lever -3-.

-- Pull the fuses -1-.

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and remove the cover -3-.

-- If equipped, free up the washer fluid hose -2-.

-- Disconnect the connectors, antenna wires, and washer fluid hose, and free up the wires on the rear lid.

-- Disconnect the connectors and free up the wiring harness -2- on the hinge.
