Left Rear Coolant Pipe, Removing And Installing, 2.9L Engine: Removing

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the engine cover and heat shield. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles without Particulate Filter

-- Loosen the Transmission Fluid Cooling Valve -N509- with the bracket. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooling Valve -N509-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the steering intermediate shaft from the steering gear and push together. Refer to appropriate Service Information .

Vehicles with a Particulate Filter

-- Remove the left catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 2.9L ENGINE WITH PARTICULATE FILTER .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -1- and remove the coolant pipe -2-.

Vehicles without particulate filter: Accessibility to hose clamp from below.
