Connector Station 1 And SERVOTRONIC Solenoid Valve Wiring, Checking

-- Remove driver side storage shelf

-- Separate orange connector (arrow) from connector station 1.

NOTE:

Do not remove vacuum brake booster if so equipped.

-- Disconnect harness connector from Servotronic solenoid valve -N119- -.

-- Set digital multimeter (Fluke 83 or equivalent) to measure resistance, and connect between Servotronic solenoid valve connector sockets 1 and 2.

NOTE:

For purposes of illustration, this test is shown being carried out with the connector removed.

Specified value: ∞ ohms (no continuity)

If not:

-- Check wire routing, replace faulty wire if necessary.

If specified value is obtained:

-- Bridge sockets 5 and 6 of orange connector at connector station 1 using VW 1594 connector test kit.

Specified value: 0 ohms (continuity)

If not:

-- Check wire routing, replace faulty wire if necessary.
