Power Steering System, Filling And Bleeding

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Audi S6 and 2024 Audi A6 Quattro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:

Do not re-use drained power steering fluid. When replacing steering assemblies or changing power steering fluid, always clean the filter screen with solvent.

-- Fill power steering fluid to the MAX mark on dipstick.

-- With vehicle raised and engine not running, turn steering wheel forcefully from one stop to the other so air can escape from system.

NOTE:

Any air that remains in the steering system will escape by itself after a while with the engine running.

-- Fill power steering fluid to MAX mark on oil dipstick.

Refer to marks on reservoir and/or dipstick.
