Left Side Vent Motor -V299-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, PR NUMBER 9AQ: Removing

Vehicles with High-Voltage System

-- Switch off (deactivate) the "parking air conditioner". Refer to Owner's Manual.

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Move the left front seat all the way to the rear.

-- Switch the ignition off.

-- Remove the driver side footwell vent. Refer to DRIVER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the driver side instrument panel vent. Refer to OUTER INSTRUMENT PANEL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the mounting bracket and push to the side as much as possible. The steering column remains installed. Refer to MOUNTING BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the left air duct -C- over the instrument panel crossmember and push outward as much as possible in direction of -arrow- by removing the fasteners -A and B-.

-- Label the connector -C- and the actuator -B- (to avoid a mix up in case several connectors are disconnected at the same time).

-- Remove the bolts -A-.

-- Remove the actuator -B- from the door shaft -D-.

-- Disconnect the connector -C-.
