Coolant Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing

Depending on the model preliminary work may be required. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray :VAS 6208 underneath.

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -1-.

CAUTION:

Risk of destroying the ribbed belt pulley for the coolant pump due to impact or pressure.

- When removing the coolant pump do not touch the ribbed belt pulley.

- When removing the vacuum hoses do not support tools on the ribbed belt pulley.

-- If the right spindle (in the direction of travel) is lifted 55 mm, push the motor/transmission assembly slightly to the left side (in the direction of travel).

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- through the holes in the ribbed belt pulley and remove the coolant pump.
