Coolant Distribution Housing, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front coolant pipes. Refer to COOLANT PIPES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the engine oil cooler. Refer to ENGINE OIL COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the MPI system fuel rail. Refer to FUEL RAIL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MPI SYSTEM .

-- Remove the oil dipstick -2-.

-- Free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and disconnect the oil dipstick guide tube -1- from the cylinder block.

-- Close the opening in the cylinder block using a clean plug from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122  .

-- Loosen the hose clamp -2- and remove the coolant hose from the coolant distribution housing.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1- and remove the coolant hoses.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the coolant distribution housing -3- from the cylinder block towards the left.
