Engine, Securing To Engine And Transmission Holder

- Engine and Transmission Holder:VAS 6095A
- Shop Crane:VAS 6100
- Engine Bracket:T40371 , not illustrated
Procedure
- Transmission separated from the engine.
-- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Engage the Engine Sling:2024 A onto the engine and onto the Shop Crane:VAS 6100 .
- To be aligned to the center of gravity of the engine, the hole rails of the lifting hook must be inserted as shown.
There is a risk of injury from the lifted engine/motor falling.
The possibility for parts of the body to be pinched or crushed increases.
- Secure the mounting hooks and pins on the lifting tackle with a securing pin.
-- Secure the mounting hooks and pins on the engine support bridge using securing pins -arrows-.
-- Lower the engine from the Engine Holder Bracket:T03000 with the Shop Crane:VAS 6100 .
-- Tighten the Engine Bracket:T40371 on the cylinder block.
- 40 Nm
- 40 Nm

-- Fasten the engine to the Engine and Gearbox Bracket:VAS 6095 using the Engine Bracket:T40371 .
