Radiator, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING .
-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS6208 underneath.
-- Lift the clamp -1-, remove the lower right coolant hose from the radiator and allow the coolant to drain.
Danger of frostbite due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.
Frostbite on the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Evacuate or drain refrigerant and open the refrigerant circuit immediately.
- If more than 10 minutes elapse after extracting or draining the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit has not been opened, extract or drain the refrigerant again. Pressure develops in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation.
-- Remove the bolt -2- and remove the hose/line assembly for the refrigerant.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and remove the hose/line assembly for the refrigerant.
Radiator Mount with Catch:
-- Disconnect the left and right radiator mount catches in direction of -arrows- with a side cutter. Push the top of the coolant radiator slightly toward the rear.
Radiator Mount with Threaded Connection:
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- on the left and right. Push the top of the coolant radiator slightly toward the rear.
Continuation:
-- Remove the radiator upward from the lock carrier and remove the left and right radiator mount.
-- Remove the coolant radiator with the condenser upward.
-- Remove the bolts -2, 3 and 4- and remove the refrigerant line and hose/line assembly -1- for the refrigerant.
-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrow- and remove the condenser -5- from the radiator -6-.
