Overview - Charge Air System, Engine In Performance Class 3

• Before testing or performing a repair, check all air guide pipes and hoses and all vacuum lines for leaks.

1. Clips

   • Replace if damaged or leaking
3. Air Duct Hose
4. Air Duct Hose
   • Must be free of oil and grease before installing
5. Left Air Duct Pipe
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to LEFT AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Must be free of oil and grease before installing
6. Rubber Bushing
7. Bolt
   • 7 Nm
8. Spacer Sleeve
9. Air Duct Hose
   • Must be free of oil and grease before installing
10. Charge Air Cooler
    • If there are small impressions on the fins, pay attention to the instructions. Refer to RADIATOR AND CONDENSER ASSEMBLY .
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
11. Air Duct
12. Bolt
    • 5.5 Nm
    • Thread cutting
    • Position the bolt by hand and tighten it until it finds the old threads. Then tighten the bolt to the specification.

    • Must be free of oil and grease before installing
18. Front Air Duct Pipe
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to FRONT AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE IN PERFORMANCE CLASS 3 .
    • Must be free of oil and grease before installing
19. Spacer Sleeve
20. Bolt
    • 7 Nm
21. Rubber Bushing
22. Bolt
    • 5 Nm
23. Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
24. O-Ring
    • Replace after removing
25. O-Ring
    • Replace after removing
26. Turbocharger Recirculation Valve -N249-
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Turbocharger Recirculation Valve -N249-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE IN PERFORMANCE CLASS 3 .
27. Bolt
    • 5 Nm
