Front Air Duct Pipe, Removing And Installing, Engine In Performance Class 3: Removing

• Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the air duct from the lock carrier. Refer to AIR DUCT ON LOCK CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1 and 2- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Disconnect the connectors:

For the Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-

For the Turbocharger Recirculation Valve -N249-

-- Loosen the hose clamp -3-.

-- Free up the coolant hose on the clip -6-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the front air duct pipe -2- at the same time guide the air duct hose -4-.

-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS6122  .
