Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Replace the seal after removal.
Be careful not to bend the floater arm on the fuel level sensor when inserting.
Make sure when connecting the connectors that they are secure.

-- Insert the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- carefully through the installation opening in the fuel tank.

-- Insert the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- in the mount and check it is secure.

-- TDI vehicles: carefully insert the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- through the installation opening into the fuel tank and clip it onto the suction jet pump.

-- Install a new sealing flange seal -1-. It must be dry.

When inserting the sealing flange, the seal must not be damaged or crushed.

-- Bring the sealing flange into its installation position.

The tab -2- on the sealing flange must face the hole -arrow- in the locking ring and rest between the tabs -3 and 4- on the fuel tank.

-- Firmly press on the sealing flange, position the locking ring and tighten using the Wrench - Fuel Sending Unit:T10202 .

-- Connect the connectors and make sure they are secure.

-- Install the bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
