Ball Head Operation Lever Lock, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- When replacing the new lock -1-, pay attention that the recess -arrow- points toward the catch -2- at the operating lever -4-.

-- Test if the lock is correctly locked into the operating lever by turning the key a couple of times.

• The lock must not spin all the way in the operating lever.

If the lock spins all the way in the operating lever:

• Check if the recess fits to the retainer.
• Press in the lock again, until it clicks into place audibly.

-- Insert the rubber ring -3-.

-- Check the control pin -1- in the operating lever -2- for ease of movement.

-- Spray the opening -arrow- at the ball head with protective oil and insert the locking pin -3-.

-- Slide on the operating lever -1- onto the actuation axis -2-.

-- Secure the operating lever and the actuation axis with the threaded cylinder pin -3- -arrow-.

-- Perform a function test of the lock by turning it multiple times with the key in the lock and by removing the key.

-- Bring the ball head into the basic setting for installation in the bumper carrier. Refer to Owner's Manual.
