Side Spoiler, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• The vehicle and the spoiler must be at room temperature.
• The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.

-- Clean the adhesive surface on the spoiler -4- using the Cleaning Solution and let it dry.

-- Apply the adhesive tape -2- from below and align it on the hook -1-. The protective film is then removed at the same time a little bit at a time.

• When installing pay attention that there are no bubbles or folds.

-- Press on the adhesive tape using the Roller:T40400  and using a pressing on force of 50 Nm.

-- In the area on which the Roller:T40400  cannot be pressed on, the adhesive tape must be pressed on by hand.

-- Insert the new clip -3-.

-- Clean the adhesive surfaces on the rear lid -1- with Cleaning Solution and allow it to dry for 180 seconds.

-- Remove the protective film -2- from the adhesive tape.

-- Align the spoiler -3- on the rear lid.

-- Push on the spoiler until it engages audibly on the rear lid.

-- Roll on the entire length -1- of the spoiler using the Roller:T40400  using a pressing on force of 50 N twice in the center.

-- Roll on the entire width -2- of the spoiler with the Roller:T40400  and a pressing on force of 50 N twice on the upper area from the left to the right.

• Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
