Side Sill Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, RS3: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

The vehicle, the mount and the side sill trim panel must have reached room temperature.
The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.

Installation preparation for reinstalling the side sill trim panel:

-- Remove any adhesive residue completely from the side sill trim panel.

-- Clean the plastic side of the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution.

-- Apply Plastic Primer on the adhesive surfaces of the side sill trim panel and let it dry.

-- Apply double-sided tape to the same location. Refer to Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).

-- Fold back the ends of the protective film, or attach a pulling aid -arrows- to the protective film -2-.

-- Place the side sill trim panel -1- on the mount and push in until it engages audibly.

-- Remove the protective film with the removal tab and press the side sill trim panel with the Roller:T40400 .

Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
It is durable after at least 24 hours.
