Overview - Six-Piston Ceramic Brake

- Brake Pad Spring
- Note the installation position. Refer to Installing Note the installation position of the brake pad spring: .
- Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
- Replace when replacing the pads
- Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIX-PISTON CERAMIC BRAKE

- Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not pinched, bent, twisted or rubbing against the vehicle.
- Replace if damaged
- Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
- Tightening specification: brake hose to brake caliper, 14 Nm

- Do not change the bending shape.
- Replace a damaged or bent brake line

- Brake Rotor
- Allocation. Refer to the Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).
- Wear limit specified on the brake rotor
- Refer to BRAKE ROTORS, CHECKING, CERAMIC BRAKES
- Replace the damaged or worn brake rotor individually, not on both sides of the axle
- If only one brake rotor is replaced, the brake pads can be reused, if they do not show any damages.
- Pay attention to the side of the vehicle specified on the brake rotor "L" / "R" and the running direction "arrow"
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CERAMIC BRAKES

- Brake Caliper
- Allocation. Refer to the Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).
- Do not disconnect the brake hose when replacing a brake pad

- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER PISTON, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIX-PISTON BRAKE
- Brake Pad Pin
- Replace when replacing the pads
- Brake Pads
- Allocation. Refer to the Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).
- Checking the brake pads, wear limit. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS .
- Always replace on both sides of the axle.

- Inner right brake pad with brake pad wear sensor
- Balance Springs
Do not loosen the threaded connections arrows on the brake caliper
CAUTION:
Improper handling increases the risk of destroying the brake caliper.
- Never loosen the bolts -arrows- and guide pins at the break caliper.
