Brake Pedal, Removing And Installing, LHD: Removing

-- Remove the footwell vent on the driver side. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR .

-- Remove the crash bolster. Refer to CRASH BOLSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the brake pedal from the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, DISCONNECTING FROM BRAKE BOOSTER .

-- Remove the buttons -arrows-.

-- Free up the carpet in the area of the universal joint and push it slightly rearward.

-- Remove the bolt -1- and remove the universal joint -2- from the steering gear -arrow-.

-- Remove the clamp -2-.

-- Remove the mounting pin -1- at the same time turn the steering column a maximum 180°.

-- Push back the steering column in the previous position.

-- Remove the brake pedal -3- downward from the mounting bracket.
