Overview - Evaporator Housing

Evaporator Housing Lower Section
Evaporator
- Check the foam seals for damage and that they are correctly bonded
- Removing and Installing. Refer to EVAPORATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
O-Ring
- Replace. Refer to the Parts Information for the version.
- Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to SEALS AND GASKETS .
Retaining Plate
- For securing the refrigerant line and fastening the expansion valve
Expansion Valve
- Removing and Installing. Refer to EXPANSION VALVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information.
Bolt
- 4.5 Nm
- Quantity: 2
Seal/Insulation
- Expansion valve heat insulation
O-Ring
- Replace. Refer to the Parts Information for the version.
- Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to SEALS AND GASKETS .
Bolt
- 1.2 Nm
- Quantity: 10; 7 of which are installed from above, and the remaining 3 are installed from below
Evaporator Housing Upper Section
Honeycomb
- Only installed on vehicles with heating (without an A/C system)
