Front A/C Display Control Head -E87-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

If the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- is being replaced, perform the test plan for replacing the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

Procedure

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

-- Select the Diagnostic mode and start the diagnosis.

-- Select the Test plan tab.

-- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively:

Diagnostic-capable systems
0008 - A/C/Heater Electronics
0008 - A/C/Heater Electronics Functions
0008 - Replacing Control Module - Front A/C Display Control Head -E87-

-- Remove the passenger side instrument panel decorative trim. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL DECORATIVE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Insert the screwdriver -1- into the guide on the left side and release the retainer -2-.

-- Engage the T-Handle Hook :3438 -4- on the rear edge of the control head and carefully pull to release. Additional force may be necessary.

-- Release the retainers -2- in turns using a screwdriver -1- and pull the control head -3- out of the mount using the T-Handle Hook :3438 -4-.

-- Disconnect the connector -3- on the back of the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87-.
