Right Temperature Control Door Motor -V159-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Check the function of the doors and linkage before installing.

-- Check if the levers and shafts are seated correctly in the mounts.

-- Mount the actuator -2- on the air distribution housing. When doing so, the toothed gear -3- on the actuator must engage into the toothed gear -1- on the temperature control door lever.

• The long tooth -4- must engage into the opening -arrow- on the actuating arm.
• If the screws cannot be installed, the actuator does not sit completely on the housing.

If the mount and the relay lever do not align, turn the mount in the actuator, proceed as follows:

-- Switch on the ignition, connect the affected actuator to the vehicle wiring harness and select the setting for the desired actuator position on the display control head (for example in the center position). Wait until the actuator reaches the desired position and switch the ignition off.

-- Route the wiring harness so that it cannot come in contact with any moving parts (for example, the actuator lever).

-- Perform the basic setting of the heating / A/C electronics. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

Procedure 

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

-- Select the Diagnostic  mode and start the diagnosis.

-- Select the Test plan  tab.

-- Select the Select individual test  button and select the following tree structure consecutively:

• Diagnostic-capable systems
• 0008 - A/C/Heater Electronics
• 0008 - A/C/Heater Electronics Functions
• 0008 - Basic Setting
