Battery -A-, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, 0K3: Notes

Disconnecting
-- Switch off the ignition and all electrical equipment. Place the ignition key outside of the vehicle.
-- Remove the luggage compartment floor from the vehicle toward the rear.
-- Remove the tool box from the vehicle.
-- Remove the nut -2- from the ground connection and remove the ground cable -1-.
CAUTION:
Risk of short circuit by the battery terminal clamps.
- Insulate the battery terminal clamps.
-- Immediately wrap the ground wire with insulating tape and set it aside.
