Seat Occupant Detection System, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front passenger seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the front seat to the Seat Repair Fixture:VAS 6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Disengage the control module -1- from the bracket -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -3, 4- from the control module by pressing the release.

-- Disconnect the modular wiring routing. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT SEAT .

-- Open the corrugated tube and free up the wire.

-- Remove the nut -arrow- and free up the wires.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1, 2 and 3- and free up the wire.

-- Unclip and free up the wiring harnesses from the seat pan.

-- Remove the cover and cushion on the seat pan. Refer to SEAT PAN COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If necessary, disconnect the cover and cushion from the seat pan. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, SEPARATING FROM SEAT PAN . .
