Wire Routing, Disconnecting And Connecting

Individual Wire, Removing

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture :VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- If equipped, unclip the rear bracket for the wire routing on the seat pan using a flat-head screwdriver.

-- Separate the cable holder -2 and 5- and cable tie -3 and 4-.

-- Remove the single wire from the protective cover -1-.

-- Replacing a faulty wire. Refer to WIRING HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS, REPAIRING .

Individual Wire, Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- When bundling and placing individual wires, make sure the wires are not twisted.

During installation, all cable ties, cable holders and clips must be installed at the same location.
Slide the connectors on until they click into place.
