Roof Reinforcement, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
CAUTION:
Risk of damaging the paint coat due to improper handling.
- Keep the cutter as flat as possible when cutting.
-- Cut the roof reinforcement at the inner side -arrow- along the bead -1- all around.
-- Cut the roof reinforcement along the support beads -2- into stripes, using the cutter.
-- Remove the strips -3- from the roof.
-- Cut back / cut even the adhesive bead -1- using the Window Cutter:V.A.G 1561A and the Scraper Blade - 45mm:V.A.G 1561/20 .
- If the painting was damaged during the removal, then the paint structure must be recreated. Refer to Audi Paint Information.
