Rear Lid Lower Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, SPORTBACK: Removing

-- Equipped on some models: remove the rear lid control head. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - CONTROLS IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT .

-- Remove the emergency triangle.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Starting from the outside, unclip the trim panel -1- from the rear lid in the direction of -arrows- using the Removal Wedge: T40233 .

-- Unclip the rest of the trim panel clips and remove the trim panel.

-- If necessary, release the retaining tabs -A arrows- with a flat-head screwdriver, and remove the rear lid latch trim panel -1- in the direction of -arrow B-.
