Luggage Compartment Side Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, Sedan: Removing

-- Remove the luggage compartment floor.

-- Remove the tie-downs. Refer to TIE DOWN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the lock carrier trim panel. Refer to LOCK CARRIER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the expanding clips -2- using the Pliers: T40172C .

-- Free up the luggage compartment side trim panel -3- in the area of the rear lid seal -1-.

-- Unclip the luggage compartment side trim panel from the body in the direction of -arrows-.

-- Pull the luggage compartment side trim panel slightly inward.

-- Disengage the luggage compartment side trim panel from the rear lid hinge.

-- Disconnect the connectors, if equipped.

-- Slightly lift up the rear shelf -2- on the front in the direction of -arrow A- and then remove the luggage compartment side trim panel -1- inward in the direction of -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the luggage compartment side trim panel -3- from the folding backrest catch.

-- Equipment version: Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel from the C-pillar lower trim panel in the direction of -arrows C and D- and push to the side.

-- Disengage and remove the bottom of the luggage compartment side trim panel at the mounting pin for the folding backrest.
