Wheel Bearing Housing Bonded Rubber Bushing, Replacing: Removing

-- Before starting the procedures, determine the curb weight position. Refer to VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRINGS, CHECKING THE CURB WEIGHT POSITION FOR AXLE ALIGNMENT .

-- Remove the coil spring. Refer to SPRING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Vehicles with left level control system sensor: remove the bolts -1- and free up the lever -2- for the rear level control system sensor.

-- If equipped, remove the transverse link stone chip protection. Refer to TRANSVERSE LINK STONE CHIP PROTECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the coupling rod -2- from the stabilizer bar -3-.

-- Remove the nut -1- and then the bolt -2- for the shock absorber.

-- Remove the nut -3- and bolt -4- for the wheel bearing housing.

-- Position the special tool as shown:

1. Nut - Component Control Arm Bearing Installer - Nut: 3346/3 
2. Thrust Piece from the Subframe Bushing Tool Kit: 3301 
3. Torque Adapter: 3390 
4. Sleeve from Bearing Installer - Carrier Bearing: 3350 
5. Nut
6. Bearing Installer - Component: 3346/2 

-- Remove the bonded rubber bushing by turning the Control Arm Bearing Installer - Nut: 3346/3  -1- while counterholding on the Bearing Installer - Control Arm - Spindle Bearing Installer - Component: 3346/2  -6-.

Bonded Rubber Bushing, Installing

• When installing pay attention that the tip of the Subframe Bushing Tool Kit - Bolt: 3301/1  does not come into contact with the wheel bearing housing.
• Do not use lubricant!
• Insert the bearing carefully so that it is not tilted.

-- Position the special tool as shown:

1. Nut from Subframe Bushing Tool Kit: 3301 
2. Thrust Piece from the Subframe Bushing Tool Kit: 3301 
3. Thrust piece from the Bearing Installer - Control Arm: 3346  , open side to the wheel bearing housing
4. Wheel Bearing Housing
5. Bonded Rubber Bushing
6. Press Tool For Viscous Fan - Thrust Piece: 3367/2 
7. Subframe Bushing Tool Kit - Bolt Subframe Bushing Tool Kit - Bolt: 3301/1 

-- By turning the nut -1- from the Bearing Installer - Control Arm: 3301  install the bonded rubber bushing to the stop, at the same time counterhold on the Spindle Subframe Bushing Tool Kit - Bolt: 3301/1  -7-.

-- Remove the special tool and install as shown:
